A Liquidation Order was issued at the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Albany, on November 16, 2012 for the purpose of liquidating the Frontier Insurance Company. The Liquidation Order contains a finding of insolvency for the company. This court order, along with an Order of Impairment issued by the Texas Insurance Commissioner on 12/06/12, triggers the Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association's (TPCIGA) handling of claims for certain policy losses of Frontier.
The New York Liquidation Bureau is currently making arrangements to send open claim files to the appropriate state guaranty funds for handling.
